Reminders
to
Parents
· Students
typically
should
be
at
their
designated
bus
stops
and
prepared
for
their
bus
arrival,
at
their
“normal”
pick
up
time.
However,
Students
and
Parents
need
to
be
reminded
that
due
to
weather
conditions
and
traffic,
a
bus
could
run
5
+/-
minutes
earlier
or
10
+/-
minutes
later
then
at
their
child’s
bus
stop.
Both
in
the
Mornings
and
afternoons.
· Now
that
the
cold
weather
is
upon
us,
we
are
asking
that
parents
also
be
reminded,
if
they
elect
to
drive
their
child
to
their
child’s
bus
stop
and
wait
with
their
child,
that
they
are
responsible
to
make
sure
their
child
is
outside
of
the
vehicle,
visible
to
the
driver
when
the
bus
approaches
the
bus
stop
and
the
child
immediately
begins
to
load
the
bus
with
the
other
children
that
are
waiting
outside.
· Unfortunately,
time
does
not
permit
for
a
bus
driver
to
wait
for
a
student
who
is
not
prepared
for
the
bus
arrival.
The
additional
time
for
a
child
to
exit
the
vehicle
they
are
waiting
in,
gather
their
belongings
and
then
to
approach
the
bus,
load
and
find
a
seat
on
the
bus,
can
be
considerable.
These
types
of
delays
do
negatively
impact
bus
arrival
times
at
the
next
bus
stop
and
the
arrival
time
at
the
school.
·
Parents
are
also
asked
to
be
reminded
that
they
CAN
NOT
BLOCK
road
access
while
waiting
for
a
bus
in
their
vehicle. |
