Analog Devices to sponsor the 13th Annual Science & Tech Fair
Thursday, April 17th, 2014   7:30 am to 1:40 pm. (Best time to visit: 9:00am to 11:00 am.)
Wilmington Middle School Rooms 247 & 248

Analog Devices' engineers will promote science and technology education through demonstrations, hands-on activities, and a fact-finding competition.

Approximately 50 Engineers will bring science and technology to life by partnering with students to conduct hands-on experiments. Activities will include Electrical wiring, shortwave radios, soldering practice, magnets and electro-magnets, strobe light demonstrations, a Geiger counter demonstration and a dry-ice demonstration. Also featured will be a detailed description of how Analog Devices' integrated circuits are manufactured, including hands-on viewing through a microscope. As part of the fair, students will participate in a fact finding competition, with  prizes awarded to the winners.

 

 

Second Annual WPS Student Art Show
May 9th (6-8PM) & May 10th (11-3 PM) @ WMS.

Bigger & Better - showcasing the amazing artwork of our students from all schools and grade levels. Featuring: refreshments, music from members of Strings, crafts for the kids and so much more… Admission is Free!

2014 Wildcat Summer Sports Clinics

During the summer of 2014 the Wilmington High School Athletic Department will be sponsoring a series of sports clinics for children in Grades 1-8. The clinics will be held at Wilmington Middle School (WMS). All clinics will be run by WHS Coaches, Alumni and Athletes. The cost of each clinic is $175 per child for the child's first clinic and $150 for each additional clinic for that child.


All clinics, with the exception of Girls Basketball and Flag Football, will run 8:30-2:30 Monday through Thursday and 8:30-12:30 on Friday. Girls Basketball and Flag Football will run 8:00-3:00 Monday 6/30 through Thursday 7/3. The focus of each clinic is the development of skills through activity based drills and scrimmages. The ultimate goal of the clinics is to develop children who enjoy participating in athletics.
